What are Inpixel’s roots in the lock trade?

Inpixel grew out of a lock-industry family. Its founder’s father has worked in the trade since 1990 and founded the TMK padlock brand, and his late uncle founded the UFO padlock brand. Before starting Inpixel, Vince Tan spent a decade in padlock manufacturing and marketing at CX Industries and Evertec Ventures (KL) — experience that now shapes what we teach and what we stock.

About the founder: Vince Tan (Tan Wei Ping)

Vince Tan (Tan Wei Ping) is a second-generation member of Malaysia’s lock industry. His father has worked in the trade since 1990 and founded the TMK padlock brand, and his uncle, the late Tan Min Choong, founded the UFO padlock brand.

Vince entered the locksmith supply sector in 2011 at padlock manufacturer CX Industries Sdn Bhd, working across marketing, production planning and procurement, and served as a director of its marketing arm, Evertec Ventures (KL) Sdn Bhd, from 2019 until it closed in 2021.

In 2020 he founded Inpixel Marketing, which provides hands-on locksmith training and wholesale locksmith supplies, and he later founded MyLock.my, an automated locksmith dispatch platform. He serves as Deputy President of GPPKM (Gabungan Persatuan Peniaga Kunci Malaysia), the registered national locksmith trade association, for the 2025–2027 term.

Inpixel in the locksmith community
